The ring is one leaf, not a cluster of leaves. The whole face is pierced: a mid-vein runs the length of it, side veins branch away, and the surface between them is cut through so you can see the skin behind.

Beside a real skeleton leaf the resemblance is the point — the same structure, rendered in silver instead of cellulose.

The Metal: 925 Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is 92.5% silver alloyed with copper for hardness — soft enough to carve, hard enough to hold a pierced structure on a ring face that gets worn.

The ring is finished bright and unplated. There is no gold layer and no rhodium layer stated for this piece, so the colour you see is the silver itself, and it will age toward a warm grey until polished.
