Design Story: Eight Stones Around One Oval
This sky blue ring is built on a simple floral idea. A single oval-cut sky blue stone sits in the middle, and eight oval-cut colourless stones are set around it in a symmetrical rosette, so the whole top of the ring reads as one flower head rather than a centre stone with a halo.
Each of the eight surrounding stones is held by four small round bead prongs, and the centre stone by four elongated leaf-shaped prongs. Because the prongs are the same bright silver-white metal as the band, the setting disappears visually and the colour of the centre stone becomes the only strong colour on the hand.
The band itself is deliberately slim. A row of small pavé-set colourless stones runs down both shoulders, then stops so the back of the band stays plain and polished. That keeps the ring comfortable to wear while the top carries the full decorative weight.
