Design Story: A Planet That Opens Like a Key
The planet key necklace takes two familiar ideas — a key and a small planet — and fuses them into one silhouette. The bow of the key is a pale aqua-blue globe with a crackled ice-glass texture; two polished rings wrap it diagonally like the rings of Saturn, and a tiny metal star is fixed to the right end of the ring.
Below the globe, a straight key shaft with two raised collar bands drops down and ends in a splayed bit built from a small cluster of clear stones. Above the globe, a crown-shaped prong cup holds a single round clear stone where the bail meets the pendant.
It is a small piece with a lot of storytelling in it — the kind of planet key necklace that starts conversations — celestial rather than literal, dainty rather than loud. If you like necklaces that read as jewellery first and a story second, see our three stone diamond necklace for a more classic take on the same idea.
