3D Custom Jewelry Design
Turn a reference, sketch or product idea into a production-ready jewelry design. CAD makes proportions, stone placement and construction visible before the sample and bulk order are approved.
What the CAD Process Can Solve
A 3D model is not only a picture. It is a technical reference for dimensions, metal volume, stone seats and assembly. The design should be reviewed with production constraints in mind so it can move cleanly from concept to sample.
Shape and Proportion
- Width, thickness and profile of rings and bands
- Pendant outline, bail size and chain clearance
- Earring length, weight balance and post position
- Bracelet curvature and clasp integration
Stone and Metal Planning
- Stone shape, size and orientation
- Seat and prong clearance
- Metal volume and expected castability
- Plating, engraving and finishing access
Production Communication
- A shared reference for the sample maker
- Dimensions that can be checked against the sample
- Fewer assumptions between buyer and factory
- A clearer basis for revisions and approval
Visual Presentation
- Rendered views for internal brand review
- Different metal or stone colour directions
- Presentation images for planning a collection
- Clear separation between render and final product
From Brief to Approved Sample
Share the Idea
Send references, sketches, dimensions, target price and intended use.
Build the Model
Confirm proportions, construction, stones and the main design details.
Revise the Design
Check the model from multiple views and approve the production version.
Test the Result
Review the physical sample for fit, finish, weight and setting.
What to Include in the Design Brief
Design Direction
- Front, side and back reference images
- The exact element you like in each reference
- Preferred metal colour and stone type
- Required motif, logo or engraving
- Any proportions that must stay fixed
Commercial Requirements
- Target retail price or production budget
- Estimated order quantity and sizes
- Required sample date and delivery date
- Packaging or private-label requirements
- Destination and any compliance questions
Design Questions
Can you work from photos only?
Yes, references can start the process. However, photos rarely show the back, exact dimensions or construction, so the team will clarify what must be designed for production.
How many revisions are included?
The revision scope and any additional CAD charge are confirmed in the quotation. Approve the dimensions and design direction before detailed modelling to avoid repeated changes.
Can the design be made in another metal?
Often, but the model may need adjustment for casting, weight, stone setting and finishing. Confirm the final material before the production file is approved.
Will the sample match the render exactly?
The sample should follow the approved dimensions and construction, but casting, stone availability, polishing and plating can create small differences. Review the physical sample before bulk production.
Can you create matching pieces?
Yes. A coordinated collection can share design language while adjusting scale, stone size and construction for each product type.
What files should I provide?
Photos, sketches, PDFs, existing CAD files and measurement notes are all useful. If you have a technical drawing, include tolerances and critical dimensions.
