What this piece has to do
An irregular stone does not fit a standard hole. Natural obsidian arrives in its own shape, so the silver around it has to be cut to that stone – which means the mount cannot be repeated perfectly, and the setting has to hold a shape that was never designed to be held.

How MIRAMETAL produces it
Every step below runs in-house – CAD design, mold-making, casting, stone setting, polishing, plating and quality control. Nothing is subcontracted, which is what keeps an approved sample and a bulk run on the same route.
Carved relief
The pendant body is cast in 925 sterling silver with a carved wave and sun relief, giving a silver weight of about 12.9 g excluding the stone.
Stone matched to mount
Each obsidian piece is matched to its mount in the workshop, so the silver is cut around the actual stone rather than the other way round.
24K gold plating
The completed pendant is plated in 24K gold, which has to be even across a textured wave surface to keep the black stone reading as the focal point.
Inspection
Plating continuity, stone security and surface finish are checked before packing, and the rope chain is fitted in 55 cm or 60 cm.
Quality and compliance
ISO 9001 certified workshop, EU REACH and US CPSIA compliant. Every piece is inspected before it is packed: stone security where stones are involved, plating coverage, surface finish and the 925 hallmark.
